Yes I am including likes to my re-blog post but no other will count. As thanks, I will follow you and I hope in return for a promotion to allow Runforscoliosis to grow. Please remember my training will be updated, please ask any questions that you like and I do have races in mind.

All will be revealed when we hit that 100 mark…

scoliosisgirl asked: I think that you should make a post that says 'Reblog if you'd like Run For Scoliosis' to happen again, and if you get over 100 reblogs or something like that, then you should do it and perhaps give me and some others the details and we could organise some events? Just an idea. x

What details do you require? Runforscoliosis is not a charity if that’s what you mean. I am an independant fundraiser for the U.K. charity SAUK.

‘Reblog if you’d like Run For Scoliosis to re-start’

I’d love to do so but I feel that I am not getting a big enough response, or if people are interested, I’m not hearing anything from you.

Therefore, providing I get 50 reblogs, I will kickstart the campaign and if I get 100 I’ll be at it like never before. I have races and stuff in mind but I’ll only say providing I get these re-blogs! So to all my followers and the wider tumblr community please re-blog!

:)

Who would like to see a welcome return to runforscoliosis? Anyone?

Donation Money!

After collating all the cash, cheques and online payments a grand total of £284.68 was raised for SAUK. Thank you so much for everyone who donated!

New Tumblr!!!

Ok, so it didn’t take long but here it is…

So now you can add me I’d really appreciate it as this account will become inactive at the end of the month and I’ll very rarely check it.

Hope to hear from you all soon!

Nathan :)

ATTENTION ALL FOLLOWERS!!!!

Runforscoliosis will become inactive as of 31st October and will restart next summer when I find a race to assign the charity work to.

In the meantime, I will create another blog to enable all of you followers to still follow me and check on my running, however, I will post other stuff should I feel the need as it will be more open and informal. I will try tofollow as many of you as I can or I’ll post a link to my new blog soon!

Thank you for all of the support you’ve all given me over these past few months. I’ll let you know the total amount raised at the end of the month.

New shoes.

I had a gait analysis performed today. I know my knee is a mess but my support was on and it was ok. I’m not feeling too comfortable in my Nike’s at the moment and I was recommended them by a Nike store assistant so it was a biased review.

However, I went to my local running store to see what they would come up with from a variety of different brands. They concluded I was in between lightly/moderate overpronation. Easing more towards light pronation, so I’ve searched the internet and have come up with these beauties the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11 for £5 from Sweatshop. Seems a reaosnable deal, so I might just have to save over the next month, check them out!

Just an update

Seen the doctor earlier who says ligaments are slightly torn on both the inside and outside of the knee with some fluid still present

Just regular ibuprofen, ice and some urgent physio is being sorted. Off now for a minimum of 6 weeks. The physio will give me a better date as to when I can start again.

This also means my entry for the Coventry Half will be deferred for next year.

The future…

is bright… possibly.

In my description it says I’ll be running another half marathon before the end of the year. In all honesty that doesn’t look like happening, so I’ll change that soon. However, I have been looking at races for next year and here’s my current list so far.

Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon

Torbay Half Marathon

Coventry Half Marathon

BUPA Great Birmingham Run

Bristol Half Marathon

BUPA Great North Run

1 or 2 10k’s - undecided

If I’m totally confident - Liverpool or Chester Marathon

Obviously I’ll be picking and choosing from that last and the marathons are only if my trainig and racing are going well. In addition, christmas I have realised it will be mostly running apparel (I could do with a running jacket) and I’ve found a few books on Amazon which I may get soon - mainly to prevent injuries and anatomy etc.
